Green Tench

Of all the fish we have ever grown, these are my favourites. There can be few nicer sights than a net full of Tench and the anglers love them.

Green tench are pretty slow growing, particularly in the early years, which is why they are quite expensive. Once they get to about half a pound, they grow quite nicely but up until that size they are frustrating slow. A 6-8” tench weighing 3-4 ounces is the same age as a three pound carp.

We have fish for sale from 6-8” up to about a pound in weight.
